2020 WA Training Awards

UPDATE FROM DTWD

The measures we have all adopted in response to COVID-19 and the rapidly evolving situation have unfortunately led to the Department’s decision to cancel the 2020 WA Training Awards program. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

We understand that an abbreviated form of the program that could be undertaken at national level is under consideration and we will keep you posted on any new developments. In the meantime, the Australian Award direct-entry categories are still open and can be entered by visiting the Australian Training Awards website.

While we realise this will be disappointing for those who were applying, this decision aligns with the State Government position at this time.

The Department of Training and Workforce Development places the highest priority on the safety and health of our students, training providers and extended communities.

At times like this, the importance of a skilled workforce becomes very clear, both now to support Western Australians during this crisis and later as part of the recovery process as we emerge from the impacts of COVID-19. As we work to manage this, we look forward to a time when we can begin to rebuild our communities together.

Should you require further information please contact the Training Awards team at WATrainingAwards@dtwd.wa.gov.au

Thank you again for your support of the WA Training Awards and we look forward to your continued involvement in 2021

ANNE DRISCOLL – DIRECTOR GENERAL
